To participate in the "remote repair / Logistics" side of the contest, you go repair hulks in belts. You open a URL in your in-game browser to a program that will track your ship location and type. This program will identify the winners, but screen shots will be used for proof.
Then you watch tv while frustrating gankers and / or saving hulks, then the ones with the most points get paid, as do a few runners up.

You get:
- 1 point for each hour spent remote repairing. To prevent insanity, max 12 hours a day will count. A day will be from downtime to downtime.
- 1 point (and possibly t1 replacement ship) for losing a logistics ship in the line of duty (loss mail required)
- 2 points for getting ganked and surviving (kill mail required, easiest way to get one is to have drones out when you get ganked. Trying to rep a hulk and scram / ecm a ganker at once is an easy way to shoot/rep the wrong target and get concorded yourself)
- 10 points for the "Bird of Pray" maneuver executed successfully. You will not get one point per hour of sitting in your remote repair ship in a safe spot... I can't accept screen shots of nothing as proof of attempting this. (So please don't keep the Dove program running while you attempting this.)
- You lose a point for every hulk that you let die (Note you do NOT lose points for hulks that die in a failed "Bird of Pray" maneuver -- only for hulks that expected you to actually keep repping them when the gankers arrive -- but the hulk had drones out and you were afk and didn't know you had to restart your reppers because you did read this section!)
How to participate: (Once you've decided to DO this, you need to read this long section below. Sorry it's so long. If you really can't read it... you may be a pvper. Go here)
- Get into a Remote Repair ship. Shield remote repair is greatly superior, although both count the same toward the contest. (use an Exequror for armor or Osprey for shield if you don't want to risk getting a nice t2 logi blown up) . Only use armor if you can't fly an Osprey... shield logi are vastly supperior.
- I would like to request that you name your ship "Kryten's Dove." You don't have to and it will not affect your score except possibly in the case of a tie.
- Open the Dove Program (link) in your Eve browser, accept browser trust, and click "run." Keep this browser window OPEN while you repair hulks. Close it when you stop. This program will do two things. It will track your ship's type and location, and it will also remind you to take screen shots.
- Go remote repair hulks in belts!
- You should convo the hulks before you rep them, and screen shot your convo, as well as saving the chat logs.
- Find out if they are tanked, and if not, get them tanked. if they are not tanked, and refuse to get tanked, Remote Repair will do no good and you should fly onward to find a hulk pilot with more sense. Proof that the hulk is shield tanked... or if you are armor repairer then shield or armor tanked... is required for your repping efforts to work. See "logistics pointers" for more information.
- By the time you're done talking to the hulk pilot, you should have a good feeling if the person is a macro or not. If they are a macro don't rep them. Your convo with the hulk pilot is not only proof they are tanked it is proof they are not a macro. So please screen shot it and save it!
- Take screen shots every 15 to 20 minutes.. with you calandar open so I can see the date! (You can get away without using the in-browser program that tracks your location and ship type, but no screen shots means no prizes!)
- Remote repair different hulks each day. I don't mind if you rep your own alt for a day, but you should be moving around trying to help random people. (If you rep the same hulk on two different days, only the longer repairing stint will score points)
- Highly suggested: If you are going to participate as a logistics pilot and you have no / little experience with pvp or logistics, especially after Crucible expansion, read "logistics pointers"to understand the new agro mechanics! Don't get surprised into letting a hulk die or getting concorded yourself!
In case of a tie, the following will be uses as tie breakers:
- evidence (screen shot of convo and chat logs) of having convinced many exhumer pilots to tank their hulks
- evidence (same convos as above work) that the hulks being repped are not macros
- more variety in systems protected and hulks protected
Bonus: if you add a savager, you can salvage the ganker's wrecks!
