The following kills count:
- 1 Point for a kill mail where you and Concord are jointly killing a ship together. You get this by shooting gankers after they have started their gank. Concord kills them for you, but you get a kill mail too. You don't even need to damage them, a warp scram fitted to your hulk will give you a kill mail if you survive the attack. The trick here is to target and scram them before concord so-very-quickly finishes it's job.
- 2 Points for any pod fleeing a gank after their own ships have blown up. To prevent innocent podding, this pod only counts if the pilot had killed Exhumers during Hulkageddon 4
- 2 Points for ANY ship of pilots with less than -5 security standing, 1 extra point if it's in high sec. You get these in high sec by catching flashy-reds on their way INTO a high sec system. This is the best way because you get them before they can harm any hulks!
- 1 to 3 points for ships people have kills on the H4 killboards. (NEW -- i thought this was here but forgot to list it). 1 point for shuttle, 2 for frig, destroyer, cruiser, 3 points all others.
- 5 Points for a ship + pod kill, where the ship kill is a you + concord joint kill (see the first bullet point) and the pod kill belongs to the same pilot. This means you shot at the ship as it was doing it's gank, and podded the guy before he can get out. They hate that because they now need to upgrade their clones. They might even lose implants. On this sort of kill, I will see CONCORD on the kill mail for the ship, and the pod kill will be for the same person moments later.
- 6 Points for ship + pod kill of anyone with -5 security standing in high sec.
To be eligible for this contest:
- Killing a griefer only counts once per pilot / griefer combo. So no, you can't repeatedly kill the same fail griefer over and over and get a gazillion points off of one guy. I mean really now, we don't want to grief them do we :)You get the max points you can, so if you get a guy in low sec, and then get the same guy ship+pod in a gank, that's 5 points. not 7. But the extra kill maybe considered in the case of a tie.
- You must not have high sec Exhumer kills this Hulkageddon , or win any prizes in Hulkageddon 4. No winning both contests! You choose one side or the other!
- API key will be required of the winners to verify that the kill-mails are real. If you participated in a kill but did not get the mail, you may get the api key of the person that did or your corp ceo's api key. Otherwise the veracity of your kill will be up to our discretion.
- Ties will be judged at my discretion -- the 'better" kills with the same number of points. Failure to provide API keys in a timely manner will make the prize go to the runner up.
question, it says that concord has to be on the killmail. but when someone is ganked at the station or the gate there are often killed by the station guns before concord arrives. so does the gate gun on the killmail also count?
ReplyDeleteGood call. yes, the gate guns should be fine. Also I find that I can tell by the ship type and fitting and player corp/standing if it was a gank ship pretty easily.

tommie, if i have no way of telling such a kill from a random kill, i can't count it.
ReplyDeleteAlthough if you're in the Anti-Hulkageddon channel and i trust you maybe i can make/create a subjective SMALL prize such as the rifters given out for "sacrifice" prizes but unless there is a fraud-proof way to tell a scout from a non-scout from the kill mail alone i can't count them as points. Maybe i can use them as a tie breaker at best. I may include video capture as proof in the future but it seems like too munch complexity now.
every little bit helps tho wether it counts or not. next time RR will count for some small prize (figured out screen shots of combat logs can be used for proof)
